The Business Transparency and Fundamental Human Rights and Decent Work Act (the Transparency Act) aims to promote business respect for fundamental human rights and decent work, and to ensure that the general public has access to information about how businesses deal with actual and potential negative consequences.

Haplast supports and respects the protection of internationally recognized human rights and labor laws. Haplast is committed to respecting fundamental human rights and decent working conditions through our own operations and in our supply chain. In accordance with section 4 of the Transparency Act, Haplast undertakes to carry out due diligence in line with the OED's guidelines for multinational companies.

Through our due diligence, Haplast shall identify and assess actual and potential negative impacts on fundamental human rights and decent work that the business has either caused or contributed to. The due diligence shall be carried out on a regular basis and any potential negative impacts shall be followed up. If necessary, Haplast shall take appropriate measures to stop, prevent or mitigate negative impacts based on the company's priorities and assessments. The report shall be published and made easily accessible in accordance with section 5 of the Transparency Act.

Information about Haplast's due diligence assessments can be made available to the public by written request in accordance with sections 6 and 7 of the Transparency Act.
