Focus on durable solutions and zero waste.

Producing high-quality products with a long service life is important to us. We manufacture pressure pipes according to NS-EN 12201 and are certified by INSTA-CERT to quality mark our pressure pipe products with Nordic Polymark.

Haplast is proud to have virtually zero waste and shrinkage from the raw material we use in our production. We take care of all debris and have introduced mechanical recycling of our internal production waste. In addition, we buy recycled plastic material, from which we produce wound profile tubes and blanks when the standard allows this.

Targeted energy efficiency gives us more kilograms of plastic produced per kilowatt of electricity supplied. Through investments in new technology and production equipment, we produce ever greener pipe for our customers.

The raw materials we buy arrive in Narvik by train, and we always use the most sustainable transportation available for delivery.

EPD - environmental documentation

We provide EPD documentation - Environmental Product Declaration - on most of our products. The EPD is a concise document that describes the environmental impact of a product or service in a life cycle assessment (LCA).

LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) is a systematic mapping and assessment of environmental and resource impacts throughout the life cycle of a product/product system.

Environmental declarations are:

  • Approved by an independent third party
  • Transparent and comparable, as they are developed according to standards
  • Published (publicly available from EPD Norway)
  • Additive, so that an EPD can be used as a basis for environmental accounting for larger projects

The environmental declarations are available under each respective product, and are available at EPD Norway.
